A 17-year-old boy was detained for allegedly raping a girl of the same age on several occasions after blackmailing her to circulate her intimate picture with him.

The police arrested the accused and sent him to a juvenile home. Both the accused and the alleged victim lived in the same locality and knew each other, Khar Police said.

The Khar Police said that the accused allegedly repeatedly raped the girl from October 10-26. The incident came to light when the boy reached her college and assaulted her when she refused to accompany her.
