वेतन बढ़ोतरी सहित अन्य चार सूत्री मांगों को लेकर निरसा स्थित एमपीएल अधीनस्थ विभिन्न कंपनियों के मजदूरों ने प्रबंधन के साथ वार्ता की। हालांकि, वार्ता सकारात्मक नहीं होने के कारण मजदूरों ने अनिश्चितकालीन गेट जाम करने का ऐलान किया है।जानकारी देते हुए मजदूरों ने बताया कि उनकी वेतन बढ़ोतरी सहित अन्य चार सूत्री मांगों को लेकर एमपीएल प्रबंधन, सांसद महोदय और विभिन्न जनप्रतिनिधियों के साथ-साथ उपायुक्त धनबाद को पत्राचार किया गया था। धनबाद सांसद महोदय ने एमपीएल प्रबंधन से दूरभाष द्वारा बैठक करने का समय लिया और आज मजदूरों ने प्रबंधन के साथ वार्ता की,
लेकिन जो प्रतिनिधि प्रबंधन से आए थे, उन्होंने सकारात्मक वार्ता नहीं की। जिस कारण मजदूरों ने यह फैसला लिया है कि कल से वे एमपीएल का गेट जाम कर देंगे। उनका कहना है कि जब तक उनकी मांगों पर सकारात्मक वार्ता नहीं होती, तब तक गेट जाम रहेगा और इसका पूरा जिम्मेदार एमपीएल प्रबंधन पर होगा।”हम लोग अपनी चार सूत्री मांगों को लेकर प्रबंधन से बार-बार बात कर रहे हैं, लेकिन जब तक हमारी मांगें पूरी नहीं होतीं, तब तक हम लोग गेट जाम करेंगे। यह पूरी तरह से एमपीएल प्रबंधन की जिम्मेदारी होगी।”किसी भी विकास से पहले, मजदूरों के इन संघर्षों का समाधान होना जरूरी है। फिलहाल, इस गेट जाम के फैसले ने एमपीएल प्रबंधन को अपनी स्थिति पर पुनर्विचार करने के लिए मजबूर कर दिया है।
