The ‘whole world’ is looking at India to replace China as the latter is currently not delivering in terms of travel, a top Booking.com executive told ET.
Any market that previously had a significant number of Chinese travellers coming in is looking at India; and that is almost everyone,” said Laura Houldsworth, managing director, Asia Pacific (APAC) at Booking.com.
The travel portal’s partnership with the International Cricket Council (ICC) is targeted specifically at Indian travellers, she said.
Booking.com is the official accommodation booking partner for all ICC events, under a five-year exclusive global partnership that began in 2019. This includes the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup that concluded on Sunday.
