The police informed that the accused in the matter, who was trying to escape, was caught by the caller.Those murdered in the family included two sisters, their father and their grandmother.
Around 10:30pm on Tuesday, a call was received in PS Palam stating ‘a sound of screaming coming from the upper floor’. Upon reaching the spot, PCR staff found four family members of the accused dead in their house,” said police.
Police said that a case under section 302 IPC has been registered in PS Palam and further probe is underway.
A motive behind the crime (as emerged from initial investigation) appears to be quarrel with family members as the accused did not have a stable job, said police.
