Beware ! Are Street Dog Problems Reaching Deadly Crisis? Tragic Death of Wagh Bakri Tea Executive

Prominent businessman Parag Desai, a senior executive at Wagh Bakri Tea Group, tragically lost his life on Sunday due to severe injuries sustained in an attack by stray dogs. He was 49 years old.

The incident occurred on October 15 when Desai valiantly attempted to fend off street dogs that had pounced on him, as per reports from Ahmedabad Mirror. A security guard stationed outside his residence promptly alerted family members about the incident, leading to Desai’s swift transportation to Shelby Hospital.

After being under observation at Shelby Hospital for a day, Desai was subsequently transferred to Zydus Hospital, where he underwent a surgical procedure. Despite all efforts, he ultimately succumbed to a brain hemorrhage while undergoing treatment on Sunday.

Shaktisinh Gohil, Gujarat Congress Chief and Rajya Sabha member, expressed his condolences for Desai’s untimely demise through a social media post. He wrote, “Very sad news coming in. Parag Desai, Director and owner of Wagh Bakri Tea, passed away. He had a brain hemorrhage following a fall. May his soul rest in peace. My condolences to the entire Wagh Bakri family across India.”

Parag Desai was the son of Rasesh Desai, the Managing Director of Wagh Bakri Tea Group. He is survived by his wife, Vidisha, and daughter, Parisha.

Boasting over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience, Parag Desai played a pivotal role in the international business, sales, and marketing sectors of the Wagh Bakri Tea Group. He actively engaged with industry platforms like the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and was a respected figure in the business community.
