काशी की तो बात ही अलग है यहां प्रतिदिन गंगा आरती की जाती है। मकर संक्रांति के दिन बड़ी तादाद में श्रद्धालु गंगा स्नान के लिए काशी आते हैं। ऐसी मान्यता है कि मकर संक्रांति के दिन काशी में स्नान करने से सभी पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं।
प्रयागराज में गंगा यमुना और सरस्वती तीनों नदियों का समागम हुआ है इसलिए इसे प्रयागराज कहा जाता है यहां भी गंगा आरती भव्य तरीके से होती है।
