According to MOS home Nityanand Rai 185 individuals from outside the union territory has purchased land in Jammu and Kashmir since 2020. In 2021 -2022 57 and 127 individuals purchased land in Jammu and Kashmir in 2020 only one person has purchased land here.
1,559 Indian companies have invested in union territory in 2020 but between 2022 -2021 310 companies invested followed by 175 companies between 2021 to 22 and 1,074 companies between 2022 to 2023.
The changes in land laws in Jammu and Kashmir have allowed Non state residents to own property in union territory and transfer agriculture laws for non agriculture purpose with the necessary government permit.
