जमशेदपुर के साकची स्थित सीएम स्कूल ऑफ़ एक्सीलेंस गर्ल्स में बुधवार को 100 छात्राओं के बीच साइकिल वितरण किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम एयर वाटर और मैत्री सामाजिक संगठन की सीएसआर पहल के तहत आयोजित हुआ। स्कूल की प्रिंसिपल मंजू सिन्हा ने बताया कि 10वीं, 11वीं और 12वीं की उन छात्राओं को साइकिलें दी गईं, जो सुदूर इलाकों से यहां पढ़ाई करने आती हैं। इस पहल का उद्देश्य छात्राओं को समय पर स्कूल पहुंचने और यात्रा में होने वाले आर्थिक खर्च से राहत दिलाना है।
साइकिल वितरण के साथ-साथ स्कूल में छात्रों के लिए स्वच्छ पानी की बेहतर सुविधा भी शुरू की गई है। नए बनाए गए पानी घर में पीने और हाथ धोने के लिए अलग-अलग नल लगाए गए हैं, ताकि पानी की बर्बादी रोकी जा सके। स्कूल प्रशासन ने बच्चों की सुविधाओं के लिए कई अन्य विकास कार्य भी किए हैं। साइकिल मिलने से छात्राओं के चेहरों पर खुशी साफ झलक रही थी।
