Rishi Sunak Visits Mumbai, Joins in for a Game of Tennis Ball Cricket

Mumbai: Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made a spirited visit to Mumbai on Sunday, where he indulged in a game of tennis ball cricket at the iconic Parsee Gymkhana. Expressing his excitement, Sunak remarked that no trip to Mumbai is complete without cricket, sharing his experience on social media.

“Great to be with all of you at the Parsee Gymkhana Club for its anniversary celebrations. What an extraordinary achievement—so much history and so much exciting stuff to come,” Sunak said, adding with a smile that he was glad he “didn’t get out too many times.”

Founded in 1885 by Sir Jamsetjee Jejeebhoy with Jamsetjee Tata as chairman, the Parsee Gymkhana is a historic institution known for its contribution to Indian cricket. Located along the picturesque Marine Drive, the club has been a hub for sports and cultural activities for over a century.

Sunak’s visit comes as part of his engagement with Indian communities and marks yet another instance of his longstanding connection with India. Looking ahead, he hinted at more such visits, reinforcing his affection for the country and its cricketing culture.
