The Delhi mayor election will be held on February 22.

Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has given consent to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal suggestions to hold Delhi mayor mayorol election on February 22.

Under the Election mayor, deputy mayor and 6 members of the standing committee will be held in February 2022.

The election have been postponed three times in less than 2 months due to protested dispute between the ruling AAP and Lieutenant Governor appointed by the centre.

The AAP and BJP clashed over whether members or elderman appointed by Lieutenant VK Saxena could not to elect mayor. as the AAP attempted to knock the house fail in turmoil election was eventually rescheduled.

The AAP won 134 wards in MCD election in December there by ending the BJP’s 15 year reign in the Civic body.

The BJP finished second with 104 words while Congress received 9 seats only.
