Railways minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized that the introduction of theme-based Bharat Gaurav Trains would harness the expertise of tourism professionals to develop and identify tourist circuits, tapping into India’s vast tourism potential.
Passengers expressed their gratitude to the Prime Minister for his vision of introducing theme-based tourist trains for pilgrimage. They were delighted to have the opportunity to embark on a hassle-free Jyotirlinga Yatra through this special Bharat Gaurav tourist train.
Starting its journey on May 20, 2023, from Kolkata, the train will visit the Jyotirlinga temple destinations of Omkareshwar, Mahakaleshwar, Somnath, Nageswar, and Trimbakeshwar, as well as Sainagar Shirdi, over a span of 11 nights and 12 days.
Eastern India’s first Bharat Gaurav tourist circuit train for Jyotirlinga Yatra embarked on its journey from Kolkata station on Saturday, marking a significant step towards showcasing the country’s cultural heritage and historical sites.
