Bhajan Lal Sharma’s parents express surprise at his election as the new CM of Rajasthan: ‘We never imagined…’

It’s a pleasant feeling. It occurred as a result of God’s will.”I never imagined this would occur,” Gomti Sharma remarked.
Bhajan Lal Sharma’s family was overjoyed and delighted when the Bharatiya Janata Party named him the new chief minister of Rajasthan on Tuesday.
Regarding his son’s appointment to the highest position, father Krishnalal Sharma remarked, “It’s fantastic…It was accomplished via God’s mercy.

Gomti Sharma, the mother of Bhajan Lal, expressed her happiness with her son’s appointment as chief minister while crying. It’s a pleasant feeling. It occurred as a result of God’s will.”I never imagined this would occur,” she remarked.

Bhajan Lal Sharma is a voter from Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district and the state’s first elected Member of Legislation for the Sanganer assembly constituency. He is thought to be close to JP Nadda, the president of the party.

In the 2023 assembly polls, Sharma—who had held the position of general secretary for the Bharatiya Janata Party—overcame Congress candidate Pushpendra Bhardwaj by a margin of more than 48,000 votes.

Following his election, Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in his first statement as chief minister of Rajasthan. As the new head of the BJP legislature party, I would also want to thank former chief minister Vasundhara Raje for suggesting my name.

In addition to Bhajan Lal, the BJP on Tuesday named two deputy chief ministers for the state. The party designated Vasudev Devnani as the state assembly speaker and Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa as deputy chief ministers.

Following the meeting at the BJP office, Sharma, the chief minister-designate, went on to meet with Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra in order to publicly declare his intention to lead the state’s future government.

In Rajasthan, the BJP took 115 seats, more than the Congress, which only managed 69.
