बावनकुले ने जनता का धन्यवाद करते हुए कहा कि यह समारोह उनके समर्थन का प्रतीक है। यह घोषणा तब हुई जब तीन महायुति नेताओं, एकनाथ शिंदे, देवेंद्र फडणवीस और अजित पवार की दिल्ली में गृह मंत्री अमित शाह से मुलाकात के बाद बातचीत रुक गई थी। एकनाथ शिंदे और भाजपा नेताओं के बीच तब से कोई बातचीत नहीं हुई है, जब वह दिल्ली से लौटकर अपने पैतृक गांव सतारा चले गए।
