प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी (PM Modi) ने आज जम्मू-कश्मीर के सोनमर्ग में जेड मोड़ सोनमर्ग सुरंग का उद्घाटन किया। यह सुरंग श्रीनगर-कारगिल-लेह राजमार्ग पर स्थित है और पर्यटन और रणनीतिक दोनों ही दृष्टि से अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। इस सुरंग के खुलने से सोनमर्ग तक और लद्दाख के लिए सदाबहार सड़क संपर्क तैयार हो गया है। कश्मीर में कड़ी सुरक्षा है।
सामरिक दृष्टि से महत्वपूर्ण जेड मोड़ सोनमर्ग सुरंग सोमवार को प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने राष्ट्र को समर्पित कर दिया। प्रदेश में नई सरकार के गठन के बाद प्रधानमंत्री का यह पहला दौरा है। पर्यटन और रणनीतिक तौर पर यह सुरंग अति महत्वपूर्ण है।
उमर अब्दुल्ला ने कहा कि आपने निष्पक्ष और स्वतंत्र तरीके से चुनाव कराए। लोग सवाल करते हैं कि जम्मू कश्मीर को रियासत का दर्जा कब मिलेगा तो मैं जवाब देता हूं कि मुझे पूरा यकीन है कि प्रधानमंत्री ने योग दिवस के मौके पर जो यहां राज्य का दर्जा देने का वादा किया है, पूरा करेंगे। मुख्यमंत्री उमर अब्दुल्ला ने अपने संबोधन में गगनगीर हमले में बलिदानी हुए लोगों को भी याद किया
