NEET PG 2023 Postponement hearing deferred, Supreme Court verdict likely on Monday.

Supreme Court of India, SC is expected to announce its verdict for the NEET PG 2023 Exam on Monday, February 27, 2023. After hearing the matter today, Justice Ravindra Bhat has deferred the hearing for NEET PG postponement plea till next week. NEET PG 2023 to be held on March 5 as of now.

The matter was heard today, February 24, 2023 by the bench comprising of Justices S Ravindra Bhat and Dipankar Datta. “Keep it on Monday.We want an answer what is a solution is this. We are not saying any we are postponing. We are not passing orders either way, we are keeping it open,” stated Justice Ravindra Bhat.
NEET PG Aspirants had been demanding the postponement of the NEET PG 2023 Exam for months. The main reason behind the postponement is that candidates wish to reduce the gap between the NEET PG Result declared announcement and NEET PG Counselling process.
As per the schedule, the NEET PG 2023 Results would be declared by March 31, 2023. The counselling process for aspirants was to begin in July. However, after the extension of the NEET PG internship deadline, the cut off was extended to August 11, 2023.
Based on this timeline, the counselling process would begin in September. Hence, candidates have voiced out that they would be idle and unemployed for a gap of five to six months, which is extremely disadvantageous for them. Hence they have been urging for a delay.
Prior to the Supreme Court, the Telangana High Court also heard a plea regarding the postponement of the NEET PG 2023 Exam. Upon hearing the matter, the High Court stated that NBE should consider a delay in the exam.
As per the schedule issued by NBE, NEET PG 2023 is scheduled for March 5, 2023 and admit cards are set to be released on February 27, 2023.
