The railway minister’s remark came amid a call for resignation by several opposition parties after the Odisha train accident claimed the lives of 288 people and left over 900 injured.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw after the Odisha train tragedy, in which more than 280 persons died and nearly 1,000 were injured. Ashwini Vaishnaw, however, said that this was not the time to do politics.

Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday said that all efforts should be directed towards restoration work following the tragic three-train accident in Odisha’s Balasore district. “This is not the time to do politics, but time to focus on restoration work,” Ashwini Vaishnaw said.
