The Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, affectionately known as the Ram temple, is a splendid testament to cultural and religious heritage, crafted in the timeless Nagara style. Spanning an impressive length of 380 feet (east-west), a width of 250 feet, and reaching a majestic height of 161 feet, this architectural marvel stands as a beacon of devotion. Within the hallowed walls, the pillars and surfaces unfold a tapestry of intricately sculpted depictions portraying Hindu deities, gods, and goddesses. At the heart of the temple, on the ground floor’s main sanctum sanctorum, resides the cherished idol of Ram Lalla.
The ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony, slated to commence on Monday, holds special significance as fourteen couples from diverse regions of the country step forward as ‘yajmaans’ (hosts) for this sacred occasion.
