Under the chairmanship of higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil a meeting was held where he directed that A committee should be set up for the establishment of Divyank University in the state.
The Divyang University will be established in Amravati district of Maharashtra. He gave these orders in the meeting.
The government decided to set up a separate disabled department in the state keeping in view, the educational facility of disabled, it is necessary to have a separate University for the disabled in the state.
On this Occassion MLA bacchu Kadu, principal secretary higher and Technical Education, Vikas Chandra Rastogi, Deputy secretary Ajit Baviskar higher education director and Shailendra Devlankar and concerned officials were present.
