Love, Lies, and Lal Salaam: How a Father’s Vendetta Turned Into a National Security Scare

In a significant breakthrough, Delhi Police, with the assistance of Ranchi Police, has arrested a man accused of threatening Union Minister of State for Defense, Sanjay Seth. Investigations revealed that the accused, identified as Minajul from Kanke area in Ranchi, orchestrated the threats to frame his daughter’s boyfriend, Moiz.

According to police sources, Minajul’s daughter was in a relationship with Moiz, which angered him. Moiz had gifted the girl a mobile phone and a SIM card issued in his name. Using this, Minajul sent a threatening message to Minister Sanjay Seth from his daughter’s phone, demanding ₹50 lakh as extortion and signing off with “Lal Salaam.”

Delhi Police, after receiving the complaint from Sanjay Seth, launched an investigation and coordinated with Jharkhand’s DGP to track the origin of the threats. A police team reached Ranchi and zeroed in on Minajul in the Hochar area of the Kanke jurisdiction.

Sanjay Seth, apart from being a Member of Parliament from Ranchi, holds a critical position as the Union Minister of State for Defense. The threatening message warned of dire consequences if the extortion demand was not met, prompting swift action from law enforcement agencies.

Minajul’s motive was reportedly rooted in personal vendetta, aiming to implicate Moiz in a serious crime. Further investigations are underway to uncover all aspects of the case.

This incident raises serious questions about the misuse of personal vendettas to jeopardize national security and the safety of public representatives. Authorities are urging citizens to remain vigilant against such malicious actions.
