The Uttrakhand Tourism Development Council( UTDC )has announced that tokens will be issued for chardham Yatra in India.

The 4 dham yatra is one of the most popular hindu pilgrimage in india. A tour of four holi sites situated high up in the himalayas badrinath, kedarnath, gangotri and yamunotri are the four locations.

The temple are closed for around 6 months every year due to harsh weather and open in summer month April to May and closed again in winter.

The tokens will be given in one hour slots and will be valid for 4 hours reducing the long ques that pilgrims have to endure in the past.

The token will be issued at the entrance of the temples in all four Dham.

The char Dham Yatra will commence of April 22 with the opening of Yamunotri and Gangotri temples followed by the opening of Kedarnath on April 25 and Badrinath on April 27.

Tokens for Darshan during the Char Dham Yatra is a welcome initiative that will help alleviate the difficulties faced by pilgrims.

The introduction of tokens will help improve the experience for pilgrims and make the process smooth and more efficient.

The UTDC’s decision to issue tokens is likely to increase the number of pilgrims undertaking that 4 dham yatra which will provide a boost to tourism in this region.
